ACS Centre is Run by Volunteers
Aside from the supervision of a Pastor from College Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Centre is staffed entirely by volunteers. This group of dedicated volunteers make an exceptional contribution to our community. They maintain the Centre’s programs and implement new projects and activities. Together, they keep the food and clothing departments open every week year-round, except for posted holidays.
Most of our volunteers are retirees and new volunteers join our team all the time. Volunteers are required to complete application forms, subscribe to a volunteer Code of Conduct and Ethics, and possibly get a police or vulnerable sector check depending on the function they perform.
Enlisting as a Volunteer – the Centre is open to anyone who wants to work as a volunteer. We welcome people from any religious persuasion, ethnicity, nationality and gender. If you want to enlist as a volunteer, please speak with the Centre leadership and complete an application.
